entry way revamp!
Happy Sunday everyone! Today I just wanted to talk about my newest project which was to create an entry way space that is functional and cute. I'm so in love with the way it turned out and just had to share it with you guys.
The first step in my plan was to find a piece of furniture that had plenty of storage but was aesthetically pleasing. The entry way is the first thing people see when they walk in your home so it was very important for me to make it as cute as possible while creating extra storage for the home. So when I found this piece at Kirklands I had to have it. I love barn doors and I think the sliding barn door effect on this shelf is so flipping cute. The barn door conceals three spacious shelves which are perfect for my candles and some seasonal decorations.
The other side this shelf has two deep drawers which I turned into "junk" drawers (batteries, command strips, scissors, tape, and other random things). I had previously kept these things in a kitchen drawer and am so glad I was able to free that drawer up by moving the "junk" into this shelf.
On top I picked up a paper holder from Marshalls which I turned into a mail organizer. Richard and I have a bad habit of putting mail on the dining room table which can get cluttered very easily. So I'm hoping this organizer will help us keep our mail all in one place. I also stuffed it with stamps and blank envelopes for easy access to all things mail.
The top picture includes a link to the barn door shelf and the second picture includes a link to the Tennessee sign. Hope you guys enjoyed this post and had a great weekend.
